Do you struggle, like me, to figure out what you are making for dinner each day? I’m horrible about it! My hubby always calls me on his way home from work, and one thing he asks me is “What’s for dinner?” Usually, I give him one answer: food of some kind.
I will be the first to admit that I’m not great at remembering to lay out meats. If I have to thaw it out in the microwave before using it, I will just make something different. I don’t care for the parts of the meat that tend to cook while thawing out in the microwave. What do I do to keep from having to do this? I try my best to make a meal plan each week! It doesn’t have to be a super spectacular meal plan, or detailed. Just a simple meal plan, like the one below, will work!
Week of February 17-February 23
- Monday: Chicken and stuffing
- Tuesday: Smoked Sausage w/fried potatoes
- Wednesday: Chicken patty sandwiches
- Thursday: Leftovers/clean out fridge day
- Friday: McDonald’s
- Saturday: Mom & Dad out to eat, boys out to eat
- Sunday: Bacon, eggs & toast
I try to keep it simple, and most of the time I will just put the main meat dish down, such as BBQ chicken, or sloppy Joe’s. If I’m feeling adventurous, I will put down the side dishes, such as veggies or fried potatoes. But, for me, just having that main dish figured out is a HUGE life saver! If I have that figured out ahead of time, I can easily throw the sides together in no time!
Now, I have created this super easy meal plan printable for you! It’s super simple, nothing fancy, and will be a life saver! Just put the dates on there, and start simple, with your main meats. Don’t just put chicken, or ground beef. That’s too vague and it can be hard deciding what to do with those meats. You need to narrow it down, and choose what meat dish you are doing with that chicken or ground beef, or whichever meat it is.
